Analytics charts
The Analytics page has two charts. A summary chart shows how things stand across your sites, and a time series chart shows how they have changed over time. Both follow the project, theme and issue you chose in the filters.
If there is nothing to show, a chart says No data available. For issues that don't have a chart yet, it says Graph currently in development.
Charts by issue
| Issue | Summary chart | Time series chart |
|---|---|---|
Condition assessment/monitoring | Site quality. Overall or By Habitat. | Overall site quality over time, or by habitat. |
Pest control | Pest observations. Overall or By Pest. | Pest observations over time. |
Weed Control | Weed density. Overall or By Weed. | Weed density over time. |
Plant species | The species recorded. All Species, Grasses & Shrubs, Weeds or Trees & Shrubs. | Not available yet. |
Water Quality | A table of each water quality reading with its lowest, average and highest value. | Water quality readings over time. |
| Other water or wetland issues | How the water looked (water appearance). | Water appearance over time. |
All other issues show the key figures and the list of recent visits, but no charts yet.
Switch between views
The buttons above a chart change how it is drawn. For example, Overall combines everything, while By Habitat, By Pest or By Weed splits the results into groups.
Condition assessment
The summary chart counts visits by their VAST quality rating, from Unrated and Low Quality up to Very High Quality. By Habitat breaks the ratings down by the site's original habitat type. The time series chart plots the vegetation condition score of each visit against its date.
Water quality
The time series chart shows one reading at a time. Choose it with the buttons above the chart: pH, Air Temp, Water Temp, Dissolved O₂, Conductivity, Turbidity, Nitrogen or Reactive Phosphorus.
Show trends
On the time series chart for condition assessment, pest control, weed control and water quality, Show Trends draws a dashed trend line through the points. It is on by default, and it needs at least two points. Switch it off to see the points alone.
Focus the charts on particular sites
To look at some sites on their own, select one or more visits in the recent visits list. Both charts then show only the sites those visits belong to. Click Clear to go back to everything.
Export a chart
Each chart has an Export button that downloads it as a PNG image, with its title. The button is turned off until the chart has data to show. To export the data behind the charts, see exporting from Analytics.
