Recent visits

Learn how to read, sort and select the visits listed on the Analytics page

The Recent Visits panel lists the visits that match your filters, so you can see the results behind the charts.

What each visit shows

Each visit shows the site name and the date of the visit, followed by the results for the issue you chose:

  • Condition assessment/monitoring. The site's VAST quality rating, as a coloured label. If the condition score has changed since the site's previous visit, a number shows by how much. Green means it went up and red means it went down.
  • Pest control. The pest animals recorded, the level of observation (High, Medium or lower), and the control method.
  • Weed Control. The weeds recorded and their density.
  • Water Quality. The readings recorded, such as pH, water temperature and dissolved oxygen.
  • Other water or wetland issues. How the water looked.

Sort the list

Use the sort buttons at the top of the panel:

  • Date puts the most recent visit first.
  • The second button sorts by result, and its name depends on the issue. It is Quality for condition assessment (best first), Level for pest control (highest first), Density for weed control, Appearance for water issues and Value otherwise.
  • For Water Quality the button is Parameter. Choose which reading to sort by from the Sort by list that appears.

Select visits

Click a visit, or tick the box beside it, to select it. The panel shows how many are selected, and Clear removes the selection. Selected visits are highlighted.

Selecting visits does two things:

  • It focuses the charts. Both charts then show only the sites that the selected visits belong to.
  • It lets you export just those visits. Click Export in the panel to download a CSV file. With no visits selected it exports every visit in the list. See exporting from Analytics for what the file contains.
