Mapping in Covram

Learn how to create maps in Covram

Maps can we used for a number of purposes in Covram. At the simplest level, maps can be used to indicate the size or extent an inspection relates to. More advanced uses may for example include indicating an area impacted by weeds, or the extent of spraying undertaken to manage a particular weed species identified. There is really no limit to the range of potential use cases. We have attempted to develop a solution which is simple to pick up and use, while having the flexibility to cater to more advanced uses. We will continue to add functionality and update this documentation based on feedback.

Boundaries and Layers

The term 'mapping' in Covram really refers to two concepts - Boundaries and Layers.

Boundaries

A boundary represents an area of a map. This could range in size from a small stand of trees, to a paddock to an entire property or national park.

Layers

A layer can be thought of as one or more boundaries, plotted on top of the satellite image in Covram.
