Exporting photopoints
You can export several photopoints at once from the project's Photopoints page.
Export photopoints
- Sign in to the Covram Dashboard in your web browser using your laptop or desktop computer and your registered email and password.
- In the sidebar, open your project and click
Photopoints. - Tick the box beside each photopoint you want to export. To select every photopoint, tick the box at the top of the column. To select photopoints that share a label, use
Select by label. - Click the
Exportbutton at the bottom of the page and choose a format from the menu.
If no photopoints are ticked, Covram asks you to select some. A progress message appears while the export is prepared.
Export options
| Option | What you get | File name |
|---|---|---|
GeoJSON (Full Data) | One point per photopoint with everything recorded about it and its photos. | Project_photopoints.geojson |
GeoJSON (Map View) | One point per photopoint with its label, tags, date created, heading and whether it is a specimen. A smaller file that is easier to map. | Project_photopoints_map.geojson |
CSV (Summary) | One row per photopoint with its label, tags, latitude, longitude, date created, number of photos, date of the latest photo and whether it is a specimen. | Project_photopoints_summary.csv |
CSV (Detailed) | One row per photopoint with everything stored about it. | Project_photopoints.csv |
CSV (All Photos) | One row per photo with its photopoint, photo ID, date taken, tags, location, heading, assessor, source, verification (Verified or Unable to verify), plant identification and whether it is a specimen. | Project_photopoints_photos.csv |
Word Document | A photo report with a section for each photopoint, including its photos. | Project_photopoints_report.docx |
In each file name, Project is your project's name with spaces replaced by underscores.
CSV files list photos but don't contain the images. Use the Word Document option when you need the photos themselves.
The Word report
The report starts with the project name, the date it was generated and the number of photopoints. Each photopoint has its label, coordinates, date created, tags and assessor, and a specimen note where it applies. Its photos follow from oldest to newest, each with the date it was taken, its tags, the assessor, its verification (Verified or Unable to verify) and any plant identification. Photos are turned to the right way up and sized to fit the page.
If a photo can't be loaded, the report notes it as not loaded and carries on with the rest.
Tips
- To follow change over time, export
