Managing users
The people on a project can see and add its data. Each project has one Project Administrator, who can also edit the project. For what a project is, see what are projects.
Add a person
- Sign in to the Covram Dashboard in your web browser using your laptop or desktop computer.
- Open the Projects page.
- Find the project, click
and choose
- Under the users list, enter the person's email address and click
Add User. - Click
Save.
What happens next depends on the person:
- They already have a Covram account. They are added straight away, with the status
Active, and Covram doesn't email them. Let them know, because the project simply appears in their list. - They don't have an account. They appear with the status
Invite, and Covram sends them an email when you clickSave. They join when they create an account with that email address. See joining a project.
Cancel an invitation
- Open
Edit Projectas above. - In the users list, click the bin icon on the row with the
Invitestatus. - Click
Save.
The invitation is cancelled, so the person can't join with it. Cancelling doesn't send them an email.
Remove a person
- Open
Edit Projectas above. - Click the bin icon on the person's row.
- Click
Save.
The project disappears from the person's list and they can no longer open it. Anything they added to the project, such as photopoints and visits, stays in the project. A project must always have at least one person, so you can't remove the last one.
Hand over the administrator role
- Open
Edit Projectas above. - In the
Admincolumn, tick the box on the person who should be the new Project Administrator. The box only appears for people with the statusActive. - Click
Save.
There is one Project Administrator at a time, so ticking one box clears the previous one. If you remove the administrator, the first person in the list becomes the administrator, so check the list before you save.
